ZTrust 3.1.0 brings key usability enhancements and new features that elevate the overall user experience across both mobile and web platforms. This release introduces the long-awaited iOS Authenticator App, significant updates to the Self-Service Portal, improved role request handling, and enhanced reporting and event tracking capabilities in the Admin Console.
Mobile Enhancements
2.1. iOS Authenticator Now Available on the App Store
The iOS Authenticator app delivers secure and seamless authentication, consistent with the Android version. Key features include:
Push Notification: Instantly approve login requests.
TOTP-based Login: Secure access with time-based one-time passwords.
Improved UI/UX: Cleaner design with helpful guides.
Profile Photo Display: View user-uploaded photos from the self-service portal.
Self-Service Portal Enhancements
3.1 Authenticator Application Setup
A QR code is now shown in the SSP to enable login to the mobile Authenticator app.
If users are logged out from the app, they can reauthenticate by scanning the SSP QR code.
3.2 Profile Photo Upload
Users can upload their profile photo directly in the portal.
Image cropping tools are available before saving.
3.3 Social Media Profile Photo Sync
If a user logs in via Gmail, their profile photo is automatically retrieved and displayed in the SSP.
Users who wish to change their profile photo can manually upload and update it within the portal.
Role Request Enhancements
4.1 Application-Level Self-Role Request
When registering for an application, users will see a list of available roles. They can select a role and submit a request.
The application administrator will receive an email notification and can approve or deny the request accordingly.
4.2 Line of Business-Level Role Request
Users can now request roles at the Line of Business level.
When registering for an application, users will be presented with a list of available roles at this business level.
Once a request is submitted, the Line of Business administrator will be notified via email and can decide whether to approve or reject the request.
Events Enhancements
Custom events have been added to provide clearer descriptions of user actions. For example, when a user updates their first name, the event log will display "Updated first name." Similar messages will appear for actions like updating the username or profile photo, making the event history more readable and user-friendly.
Admin Console Enhancements
6.1 Reporting Dashboard Improvements
A new "Overview" tab is now available under Reports.
Interactive line and bar charts provide better visibility into usage and activity trends.
UI/UX Improvements
7.1 Guided Theme for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Step-by-step procedure guides are embedded within the login theme for users opting for 2FA, improving user onboarding and reducing friction.
