QR Code Based Authentication
QR code authentication is a process where a user's identity is verified using a unique QR code generated by an authentication system. When a user attempts to log in or access a secure resource, they are presented with a QR code on the screen.
To configure the QR Code Based Authentication, follow the below steps -
Go to the Authentication tab in the sidebar.
Click on the kebab menu (three dots) on the right side of the browser flow. Select Duplicate. A popup will appear.
Provide a Name for the flow, "QR Flow". Click Duplicate. You will be redirected to the new flow configuration.
Delete everything under QR Flow forms.
Click on the plus icon on the right side of the QR Flow forms. Select Add Execution. A popup will appear to select an execution.
Search for QR Authenticator, select it and click Add.
Click on the settings menu (gear icon) on the right side of the QR Authenticator. A popup will appear to configure the QR settings.
Provide an Alias. Set Expire in seconds and click Save.
Change Requirement of the QR Authenticator from Disabled to Required.
Click on the Actions, on the top right of the page, and then Bind flow. A popup will appear.
Select the Browser flow as the binding type and click Save.
The QR Code based Authentication is enabled now.
