4.12.9 Setup of Biometric based Authentication

Follow the below steps to setup Biometric based Authentication -

  1. Go to the Authentication tab.

  2. Click on Duplicate and create a copy of the Browser Flow.

  1. Give any name to this flow. For example - Biometric-Auth

  1. Click on Duplicate.

  1. Delete everything below Biometric-Auth Forms.

  1. Set the Requirement as Required.

  1. For Biometric-Auth Forms, click on ‘+’ symbol, then Add step.

  1. Select Username Form.

  1. Click on Add.

  2. For Biometric-Auth Forms, again click on ‘+’ symbol, and then click on Add step.

  1. Click on the dropdown for Provider, and select WebAuthn Authenticator.

  1. Click on Add.

  1. For WebAuthn Authenticator, Set the requirement as Required.

  1. Click on Authentication.

  2. Go to the Required Actions tab.

  1. Tick the checkbox for both Enabled and Set as default action for the WebAuthn Register.

  1. Go to the Flows tab.

  1. Click on the three dots for Biometric-Auth, and click on Bind flow.

  1. Select the Browser flow.

  1. Click on Save.

Biometric based Authentication is enabled now.
