3.9.13 User Registration

The User Registration section in ZTrust allows administrators to configure default roles and default groups that are automatically applied when a new user is created. This guide explains each option and setting in detail.

Default roles

You can use the search box to find a specific role.

Click the Refresh button to see the latest settings.

You can also choose how many roles you want to display on one screen. Select your preferred option from the dropdown menu as shown above.

Hide inherited roles

Selecting this checkbox hides inherited roles, preventing you from seeing roles inherited from composites. To view inherited roles, simply uncheck this option.

Assign role

This setting enables you to assign any particular role under the default roles.

After clicking on Assign role, you will get the below screen

You can use the search box to find a specific role.

Click the Refresh button to see the latest settings.

You can also choose how many roles you want to display on one screen. Select your preferred option from the dropdown menu as shown above.

You can then select the checkbox for the specific role you want to assign to default roles. Click on the checkbox to select the role, then click on Assign.

If you decide not to associate the selected roles, click on Cancel to discard the changes.

You also have the option to filter roles based on the clients.

You can then select the checkbox for the specific role you want to default role. Click on the checkbox to select the role, then click on Assign.

If you decide not to associate the selected roles, click on Cancel to discard the changes.

After clicking on Assign, you can see the below screen.

By clicking on the three dots, you'll find the option to Unassign. This allows you to remove a specific role from default roles. Upon selecting Unassign, a prompt will appear asking for confirmation, similar to the one displayed below:

If you wish to remove the specific role from default roles, click on Remove. Otherwise, click Cancel.

Unassign

If you want to remove multiple roles from default roles, select the checkbox for the respective roles and then click on Unassign.

After clicking on Unassign, you will receive the following prompt for confirmation.

If you wish to remove the specific roles from default roles, click on Remove. Otherwise, click Cancel.

Default groups

Default groups enable automatic assignment of group membership whenever a new user is created.

To add groups under default groups, select Add groups. After clicking on Add groups, you will encounter the following prompt.

You can use the search box to find a specific group.

Click the Refresh button to see the latest settings.

You can also choose how many groups you want to display on one screen. Select your preferred option from the dropdown menu as shown above.

You can choose any specific groups by checking the checkbox next to it. Once you've selected the desired group, click on Add.

The specific group will be added under the default groups section.

Group name

It refers to the name of the group.

Path

It specifies the path where the group is present.

You can use the search box to find a specific group.

Click the Refresh button to see the latest settings.

You can also choose how many groups you want to display on one screen. Select your preferred option from the dropdown menu as shown above.

After clicking on the three dots, you can see the remove option.

If you want to remove any particular group from default groups, you can click on Remove.

After clicking on Remove, you will get the below confirmation prompt

Click on Delete if you want to remove the particular group form default groups, else click on Cancel.

If you wish to remove multiple groups simultaneously, simply click on the checkbox next to each group you want to select.

Once selected, click on the three dots next to Add groups. You can click on Remove.

You will receive the following prompt requesting confirmation.

To remove a specific role, click Remove; otherwise, click Cancel.
