# 3.7 Events

#### What Is an Event in Ztrust?

Event in Ztrust is a logged occurrence of a significant action, such as a user login, password change, login failure, or admin operation (e.g., role assignment).

Events are recorded in the event log, and they provide key details like timestamp, event type, user, IP address etc. There are two types:

* **User Events:** Actions performed by users (e.g., login, logout, register, reset password, etc.)
* **Admin Events:** Actions performed via the admin console or Admin REST API (e.g., creating users, assigning roles, changing configs)

This tab holds records of actions carried out by either the Admin or the User.
