Initial Access Token

The Initial Access Token feature in ZTrust allows administrators to create tokens that can be used to generate new clients programmatically. These tokens are especially useful for automated setups and bulk client registrations.

Each initial access token can have:

  • A customizable expiration period

  • A limit on the number of clients that can be created using the token

To create an initial access token:

  1. Navigate to the Clients section.

  2. Open the Initial Access Tokens tab.

  3. Click on Create to generate a new token.

  4. The Create Initial Access Token screen will appear.

In Clients, within the Initial Access Tokens section, an initial access token can be utilized to generate new clients.

This token comes with customizable expiration settings and a limit on the number of clients that can be created.

On clicking on Create, you can see the below screen.

Expiration - Defines how long the generated access token remains valid. You can adjust:

  • Value → Using the arrow keys or by typing manually.

Count - Specifies the maximum number of clients that can be created using this token.

  • Default: 1

  • You can increase or decrease this value as needed.

This specifies the maximum number of clients that can be created using the token.

By default, it is set to 1, but you can modify this value according to your needs.

Actions:

  • Save → Click to generate the initial access token with the defined expiration and count settings.

  • Cancel → Click to discard the changes and exit without creating a token.
