3.8.4 Brute-Force Authentication Report

Reports Module Overview

The Reports module in the ZTrust Admin Console provides detailed insights into user activities, session invalidations, and brute-force authentication attempts within the system. This helps administrators monitor, analyze, and manage security-related events efficiently.

  1. Brute-Force Authentication Report:

This section helps administrators identify and investigate failed login attempts and possible brute-force attacks.

The captured information includes:

  • Username → The user whose account faced failed attempts.

  • User ID → The unique identifier of the user.

  • Time → When the failed attempt occurred.

  • Failed Attempts → The total number of failed login attempts.

  • Action Taken → The system’s response (e.g., Account Locked, Temporary Block).

  • IP Address → The source IP of the failed attempt.

  • Geo-Location → The geographical origin of the attempt.

This report helps admins detect suspicious activity and take preventive measures to secure accounts from unauthorized access.

Download Options

The Reports module provides flexible download options to export reports for further analysis, record-keeping, or compliance purposes. You can download reports in multiple formats:

  • PDF → For structured, printable reports.

  • Excel (XLSX) → For sorting, filtering, and advanced analysis.

  • CSV → For integrating with external analytics tools or databases.

Admins can easily generate detailed reports for audits, security analysis, or organizational compliance requirements.
