Reports Overview Section

The Overview section in the Reports module provides a high-level summary of all important security-related events happening within the system. It helps administrators quickly monitor user activities and analyze trends using visual charts and event counts.

Tracked Events

The Overview section tracks the following key events:

• Login Success → Number of successful user logins.

• Login Error → Number of failed login attempts.

• Reset Password → Total password reset activities.

• Update Profile → Count of user profile update events.

• Brute-Force Attack → Number of detected brute-force login attempts.

Event Count Summary

• The dashboard shows the total number of events for each event type.

• Event counts can be viewed by week or by month for better trend analysis.

• Default View: The Week view is selected by default, showing weekly event counts.

• Switch to Month View: Admin can switch to Monthly view to analyze broader trends.

• Calendar to select date: The admin can also select a specific date or choose a custom date range to view events within that period.

Interactive Charts

To make data easier to understand, the Overview section provides visual charts:

• Line Chart → Ideal for tracking trends over time.

• Bar Chart → Best for comparing counts across different event types.

Users can switch between chart types based on their preference.
