# 3.4.1 Edit Kafka Cluster

The existing Kafka cluster can be edited with the following steps.

Step 1: Click the **Edit** button of the selected Kafka Cluster (right side of the Kafka Cluster List tab), which the user wants to edit.

Step 2: Once click on edit button, the cluster configuration will open.

Step 3: Update the required cluster parameters such as Kafka Cluster, Authentication, Schema Registry, Kafka Connect, KSQL and Metrics

Step 4: Click the **Validate** button to verify the updated configuration.

Step 5: Click the **Update** button to save the changes to the Kafka Cluster.
